Kokedama - Tropical String Garden

75.00

Imagine a bird’s nest fern, sago palm and pothos vine, thriving, spinning and floating mid-air within your space. Experience the tropical floating garden of your dreams.

Curating and caring for this suspended oasis is not as far fetched as it seems. The Japanese art of Kokedama is an ideal planting method for small spaces and creative botanical displays, and opens up a world of meditative gardening possibilities that embrace the beauty in simplicity.

Kokedama 苔玉, simply translated as “moss ball” (koke = moss, dama = ball), is a variant of bonsai that has been practiced for centuries.

LIGHT: Bright, indirect indoor light or filtered outdoor light. We tell customers to put their air plants in the brightest room in the house!

WATERING: Soak kokedama 2x per week by immersing moss ball in water for 20 minutes. Allow kokedama to drip dry & return to its home.

SOIL: Your kokedama is designed to stay enclosed in this moss ball. Additional soil shouldn’t be needed. See our care guide for kokedama adjustments.
